10 Best Things To Do With Kids When Staying In Noosa
Noosaites are blessed to live in one of the most beautiful parts of Queensland, some say the world. There is plenty of ways to entertain kids of all ages. We’re spoilt for choice but here are our top ten best things to do with the kids when staying in beautiful Noosa, at the top end of the Sunshine Coast:
1. Hitting the Beaches is at the top of best things to do, that’s why we live here
There are soooooooo many beaches to choose from when staying in Noosa. We have beautiful temperatures all year round, and there is always a sheltered beach somewhere on a windy day.
There is the famous Hastings Street, Noosa Heads, known as “Main Beach” with white soft sand, which is one of the few north facing beaches of the Australian coastline. Not only that Main Beach is surf patrolled 365 days a year. Leave your partner on the beach with the kids to scout for seashells, build sand castles, or play out in the surf, whilst you hit Hastings Street for a bit of retail therapy.
If you’d prefer a more gentle and protected beach for the kids to swim at, hit the Noosa Spit beach on theRiverside. This is a very popular spot for Locals, families, dogs and nature lovers, with shallow waters, a place for anyone who loves to pass the time of day just chilling out without a care in the world. This is also an excellent place to watch the sunset.
How about an adventure walk through the Noosa National Park where you will find an assortment of rock, pebble or sandy beaches. Look for Koala’s, goanna’s or birds in the bush, or whales, dolphins or turtles in the waters. If you’re feeling like you need someplace more secluded your could hit “Alexandra Bay”, also known as “A Bay” which is Noosa’s unofficial nudist beach. Don’t be fooled that is popular, as its approx 7 klms walk through the National Park to get there. Note: NONE of the beaches in the Noosa National Park are patrolled.
How about a kite surf, the Beachside of the Noosa Spit, also known as “the Heads”, is a perfect place to kite surf, whilst the family enjoy a relaxing time in the shallow waters of the Riverside beach.
If you’ve left the family to sleep in, why not go for a Kite Surf from Sunshine Beach down to Castaways Beach, shove a few bucks in your wetsuit and catch the bus back. 2-3 hours of pure bliss. Or have the kids come down and watch, whilst they run and play on the beach.
2. Noosa National Park
The National Park is stunning and definitely one of the best things to do on the Sunshine Coast with or without kids. Take the kids for a walk and see what creatures you can find lurking in the bush or in the ocean. Make it an educational adventure without the kids realizing it.

It’s cheaper for you to hire a Car from us for the day, rather than catching the Australia Zoo bus. We can even hire you a navman if you’re not all that good on directions. A full day out. We’d suggest you get there well before the show starts in the stadium and sit somewhere out of the sun, because you will be there for a few hours.
